How long does it take to do makeup and hair on the day?

Bridal makeup usually takes 30 – 45 minutes depending upon what you are having carried out i.e. false lashes and tattoo cover. Additional persons usually take 30 minutes and Junior Bridesmaids and flower girls take approximately 15 mins.

Bridal hair usually takes 60 mins depending upon the complexity of your style and additional persons usually take approx 45 – 60 mins.

Every person and bridal party is different and so full timings will be arranged with you at your booking and again at your makeup trial.

I don’t usually wear much make up & I just want to go for a natural look. Can you do this?

Yes. Many brides don’t wear heavy makeup on a daily basis and so I will take this into account when we meet at your trial. I will also have a chat with you about the look which you are going for on your wedding day along with the style of your dress and wedding.

I have very sensitive skin – will your makeup suit me?

Definitely. At your booking consultation and again at your makeup trial I will have a chat with you about your skin and any problems you have. If you have sensitive skin I will ONLY use Jane Iredale Mineral makeup as my main products and as such you are at much less risk of any complications arising from the application of the makeup however a trial is always recommended to test your suitability to the products as well as testing your look for the day.

When do I have my makeup and/or hair trial?

Your makeup and/or hair trial is recommended to take place 4/8 weeks before your wedding day however you can have your makeup trial at any date to suit you. Your trial can be booked in up to 1 year in advance.

Which areas does Claire cover?

Claire is based in Rossendale (OL13) and covers most areas within Manchester, Cheshire, Lancashire & West Yorkshire. Claire also covers most other areas within a reasonable traveling distance including National and International bookings by request.

Which Makeup do you use?

I predominantly use Jane Iredale Mineral Cosmetics and MAC Pro. I am a registered Makeup Artist for both companies and I find their products are excellent quality, lovely colours, have little perfume in them and last really well. I have found previously that one brand of cosmetics doesn’t suit everyone’s style and taste hence I use what I believe to be the top brands.

Will I need to buy your makeup to touch up during the day?

No. Your make-up has been applied to last all day*, however I retail all of the Jane Iredale Mineral Cosmetics and can supply you with any of the products within the current range. *The only part of your makeup which will need to be re-applied is your lipstick/gloss.

I also sell sample sizes of the Jane Iredale mineral foundation, Matte Powder and D20 Hydration Spray. You can purchase a small touch up kit if required.
